Local Issues
As of April 8, 2022, the total population of St. Johns county stands at roughly 292,466. More than 16,000 people moved to the county between 2020 and 2021, making it the fastest-growing county in Florida percentage-wise at 5.6% and fourth in total population growth. Because of this rapid growth, several issues have come to the forefront:
-
Overdevelopment
-
Lack of planning
-
Roads
-
Schools
-
Beaches
-
Fire and Emergency Facilities
-
Preservation of natural land/habitats
As of May 17, 2022, over 60,000 housing units were approved across the county that have yet to be developed through planned unit developments, a type of zoning. This process of approving more developments/housing continues to this day. Because of this reckless approval of development by the county commissioners, it is a primary objective of the St. Johns County Conservatives to make the constituents aware of the candidates running for the positions coming available for county commissioner in 2024. The districts that will have open positions are 1,3 and 5. We will make it a priority to give all candidates a forum to speak to constituents and share how they would manage the growth in our county.
Local Endorsements
We are pleased that six of our endorsed candidates won their elections.
It is our belief that these candidates will work for more accountability, fiscal responsibility and true constituent representation.

National Issues
The American People Spoke
On November 5, 2025, the American people spoke loud and clear. The 47th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, was elected by an overwhelming majority in both the electoral college and the popular vote. The electoral college result was 312 for President Trump and 226 for Kamala Harris. President Trump won every single battle ground state. President Trump is the first republican president in 20 years to win the popular vote. He beat Kamala by 2.3 million votes; 77.3 million to 75 million. There are many who never gave up on President Trump. Many who believed from the start that he was the BEST candidate to lead our country ~ and their perseverance prevailed. To those who doubted President Trump's ability to win the election, I hope you will humble yourselves and join the rest of the Trump supporters in wishing our 47th president congratulations, much success and safety for himself and his family as he tries his best to Make America Great (Once) Again.
